First off, I would like to thank all the Brothers who attended Pig
Dinner 2009. It was a great weekend and I speak for all the undergrads
when I say that we really appreciated all the grads who came back and
showed us support.
Varsity Revue is this weekend. We have a very strong show this year
with the Kappas, and we should compete for first place.
Islander week is March 23-28. The Islander date party will be March 26
and the week will culminate with Greek Discovery Day on Saturday,
March 28. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this, Greek
Discovery Day is a crucial "kickoff" to rush. High school seniors come
to OSU, tour the campus and are educated about Greek Life as a whole.
We will be serving dinner at the house that night (shish ka bobs) and
Graham Colton will be playing outside. If you have never heard of
Graham, he is a very popular artist. Check him out on iTunes. If you
have any questions about Greek Discovery Day/Rush or would like to
make a donation, e-mail Asher Griffin at asher.griffin@okstate.edu.
This weekend, five or six undergrads are heading to International
Headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky to help catalog and restore
artifacts and documents in the Fraternity archives.
There is a new calendar up on the Web site, www.okstatefiji.org. We
will be updating it soon with all the happenings here at Sigma
Omicron.
Thanks again to all the Brothers who made Pig Dinner 2009 an excellent weekend.
